Cabletronix Announces the CTMS-8RKPS and CTMS-516RKPS Rack Mount Satellite Multiswitches

January 2, 2006 – West Chester, PA – Cabletronix, a division of North American Cable Equipment, Inc. (NACE), announced today two new rack mountable satellite multiswitches – the CTMS-8RKPS and CTMS-516RKPS.  Both units are designed for commercial grade headends and provide RHCP and LHCP switching for up to 8 and 16 satellite receivers respectively. These units can be mounted in 19” EIA racks.

The CTMS-8RKPS provides satellite IF distribution of 950 to 2150 MHz from the outputs of a dual LNB for up to 8 satellite receivers.  The CTMS-516RKPS also supports IF distribution of 950 to 2150 MHz, and is fully compatible with DIRECTV® phase three dish reception allowing four LNB inputs and 1 antenna to 16 satellite receivers.   The CTMS-516RKPS also includes a built-in amplifier to compensate for satellite and/or VHF/UHF signal insertion loss.

According to Aaron Starr, Cabletronix / NACE founder and president, “The CTMS-8RKPS and CTMS-516RKPS’ features, specs, and pricing present compelling value to commercial headend designers, installers, and network operators.  These multiswitches complement our current family of satellite multiswitches while extending our portfolio of professional grade Cabletronix headend products.”
