Cabletronix Announces the CT-FMM Fixed Channel Micro Modulator

November 5, 2003 – West Chester, PA – Cabletronix, a division of North American Cable Equipment, Inc. (NACE), announced today the CT-FMM fixed frequency micro modulator. The CT-FMM is a professional quality fixed channel micro modulator providing an audio and video modulated RF carrier from 54 to 806 MHz on any CATV channel from 2 to 125. Any standard video source can be used, including satellite receives, demodulators, VCRs, DVD players, and TV/security cameras. The CT-FMM employs highly stable synthesized frequency control. Setup and tuning are easy and straightforward taking advantage of the unit’s front panel access to all level controls and indicators. Non-volatile memory is used to maintain channel selection in the event of power loss. Channel frequency information with FCC offsets is programmed into each unit at the factory. The CT-FMM meets or exceeds government regulatory requirements, including FCC group delay pre-distortion for color transmission and FCC Docket 21006 aeronautical offset requirements. The CT-FMM can be used with the Cabletronix CTPS-12 power supply and CTR-12 rack chassis or with third party power supplies and/or chassis depending upon configuration. Designed for commercial grade headend systems, the CT-FMM provides cable operators significant advantages over competitive products. CT-FMM output power 50 dBmV – 5 dBmV greater than the competition. In addition, the CT-FMM’s die cast casing significantly reduces spurious emissions while minimizing the effects of any signal ingress. According to Aaron Starr, Cabletronix / NACE founder and president, “This fixed frequency modulator is a professional grade product with a price-performance breakthrough commanding value over competitive products. The CT-FMM’s 50 dBmV output power is 5 dBmV greater than that of the competition. That 5 dBmV represents a nearly doubling of output power at lower equipment cost. Further, the CT-FMM’s die cast casing not found on many of our competitors’ products contributes to the unit’s compelling performance specs. A competitively priced fixed channel modulator with significantly greater output power, better packaging, and outstanding specifications is a winner.” North American Cable Equipment, Inc. founded in 1992 with headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania and sales and distribution facilities in Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri, and Nevada is a leading supplier and specialist in Cable and Satellite television processing and distribution technologies. Cabletronix is the company’s family of residential and commercial-grade modulators, demodulators, launch amplifiers, power supplies, and multiswitches.
